RULES

Whitetail buck deer (“entries”) must have been taken in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Kaufman, Ellis, Navarro, Leon, Houston and Freestone Counties of Texas. 

Entries must be taken by legal means in accordance with all applicable Federal and State hunting regulations. Entries must be taken by fair chase and will not be accepted if taken within or upon high-fenced property. Entries must be registered and brought into Wulf Outdoor Sports during normal business hours.  Entries will be scored at Wulf Outdoor Sports in Athens, TX.  10 highest scoring entries will be rescored by a panel at the close of the contest. (All scoring determinations by this panel are final)  Entries must have been taken during the 2011-2012 Texas whitetail deer season. This contest will close at the end of legal shooting hours on January 15^th. No entries will be taken after store hours on January 18th.

Winners are subject to a Polygraph. The name of the individual registering the entry must be the same as the name appearing on the tag affixed to the entry.

Contestant must be entered into the contest prior to taking the entry. 10 highest scoring entries will be notified of the date and time to have entry scored by the panel, failure to appear at the designated time and place may result in forfeiture of the entry.

Spikes must have 2 un-branched antlers and no broken tines. Contest will start October 1st, 2011 and end January 15th, 2012. 

Spikes will be scored by the following means:

• Length of each antler, plus
• Greatest Spread, plus
• Circumference of each base

All contestants must be entered in the Big Buck Contest, the Big Buck Archery Contest or the Big Buck Crossbow Contest in order to register for the Big Spike Contest.
